Svetla Rakshieva is an ethnologist. Formally she works at the Ethnographie Institute and Museum in Sofia as a fellow-re sear eher.
She held a PhD thesis and her serious scientific studies are devoted to serious scientific problems interpreted with complicated concepts and terms, e.g. 'ethnic community', 'identity' and 'transhumance'.
Still meanwhile... - as soon as she slips out of sight, she rushes to dive into her secret obsession -Easter eggs decoration. This occupation between art, magic and alchemy, in the author's opinion represents the most exciting game of imagination, shapes and colours, which can make one forget about time. Enchanted by old masters art, she wanted to show everybody the beauty of Bulgarian decorated Easter eggs. Still more - she wished to infect with this children and grown-ups, to share the delight of creation, secrets, lore and skills.
You should be very careful, since egg-decoration is said to have a 'dangerous charm' and you might fall in obsession. (If this is the case, you shouldn't wonder why aren't you treated like a 'painted egg'! You will notice that in the gloomy glances and murmur of your beloved ones that there is no one to cook, tidy up and take care of the children, while all the house smells of molten wax and dyes.) However, there is no chance to resist this temptation, still more it is neither your obligation nor job. That is why you should hurry up to please your friends with a splendid Decorated egg for Easter. Future masters are among you.
