This book is the first in The Media in Southeast Europe series.
The Media in Southeast Europe project is implemented by the Southeast European Media Centre (SOEMZ) in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Centre was co-founded in 2001 by two universities:
• European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, represented, by the Chair of Linguistics: Linguistic Research on Communication and Media Issues and the Centre for International Affairs and Further Education;
• St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Bulgaria, represented by the
Chair for Cultural Studies.
The Centre offers a postgraduate Masters Programme in Media and Intercultural Communication for students from all Southeast European countries.
SOEMZ is financed by the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe with the support of the Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) GmbH.
